This swingset was in my backyard for over 20 years, legs slowly sinking into the ground, wood decaying, with the occasional layer of warm brown stain carefully reapplied. Due to its age and dangerous lack of structural integrity, my family got together to demolish it with a chainsaw. Over the course of this project and development of samples, I focused on the colors and textures of this structure, as well as its interaction with the yard around it through indents and shadows.
