This personal project was the result of a desire to learn more about goldwork and silk ribbon embroidery. Additionally, I wanted to explore developing my own original embroidery designs based on historical examples and techniques. This involved a lot of decision making regarding material and technique usage, as well as considering both its closeup and distance read.
